I hate FAFSA forms

So far, has anybody filled out their FAFSA form? FAFSA is free application for federal aid and it is a pain. The parent information and tax stuff is really getting on my nerves right now.

I do it online. The renewal forms aren't so bad.

lol I finished filling mine out online about a month ago. I was so annoyed cause I had to make corrections on mine and the damn thing wouldn't let me turn forms mode on while making corrections so I had to ask for sighted assistance. I hate that! But I'm hoping I get aid this year so I don't have to depend on the dumb commission! They're not letting me get any assistance from them unless I join the NFB and get personal counciling to help me figure out what I want to do with my life. I don't mind the counciling cause I guess it'll help in the long run but to be forced to join the NFB when I don't even really want to do so is a bit beyond my limit! I can't even get mobility until I've had my first session with my councilor! How freaken dumb is that! Those places have really long waiting lists so I really don't know what I'm going to do. lol Ranting really does make you feel better! hehehehe

Michelle,
They wont give you services unless you join the NFB? Where do you live? And... wow. That's a bit extreme. That should, actually, be illegal. Forcing you to join a consumer group before they give you services is just... ugh. Boggles the mind.

Agree with the first post. I filled out the form online and it was a pain!

And if you don't fill out a question exactly you can't move on to the next section.

I haven't had a huge problem with filling out my part. it's the part regarding the parents that gives me trouble, due to my parents not doing they're taxes til long after they're due. They still haven't done the last set yet.

Where the hell do you go online to fill out FAFSA forms? need an answer AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

I hate filling out those damn things. They ask way too much personal information that you may not even know the answers too or too much information that your just unable to provide in general.

well, I have to get this done, so I'm willing to give out personal info.

Filling out fafsa forms may be tedious, but believe me, it's totally worth it!

almost have it done, but my dad's electronic signature needs to be varified. It's a personal identification number one needs to have.

I hope I get something from it but that's not going to be the case for a while.

Yeah, mine too, but what about your parents? How did one of them get one to sign that thing, if you don't mind my asking?

Post 19 by purple penguin (Don't you hate it when someone answers their own questions? I do.) on Friday, 29-Feb-2008 19:50:23

You have to provide their social and email address and they should send one to them.

And the parent also has to fill out the pin application
